Characters Biography

Full Name: Adrian Philip Tresk

Age & Year: Twelve, 2nd Year

Gender: Male

Blood: Half-Blood

Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff (Though he didn't really mind)

Wand: Eleven Inches, with the appearance of two spiralling ropes getting gradually thicker from tip to tip. Elm and Dragon-Heart-String, springy. Using his fathers wand without his knowledge, Adrian found a simple perception spell in one of the many library books within his home. Performing the charm on his own wand, it gave it the appearance of being made of gold.

Creature: Adrian owns a mischievous white female wolf that he rescued as a cub after finding her with her dead parent whilst on holiday in Alaska. Her name is Blizzara, but he often calls her by her nickname, Frosty.

Physical Description: Adrian's overall appearance can change on a day to day basis, but he regularly reverts to what he likes to call his 'prefered ident'. At the age of twelve, he is 5 feet tall, weighs 95 pounds, has an all-over tan (even during the long, bleak English seasons), average length messy sandy blond hair and light blue eyes. Also due to his extremely active life, he is built a little sturdier than most boys of his age. Depending on the activities he is engaged in, he makes changes to his appearance to best suit the conditions. These changes are often extremely unusual and range from different hair styles, to mirrored or reflective eyes, among other things.

Personality: Adrian is a very like-able boy who's always out to make new friends. He always jokes around, and can be very sarcastic. He's also adamant about what he wants, and if it means breaking the rules to get it, then so much the better in his view. Actually the only rules that he does follow to the letter are rules involving sports. He is good team player and has a great sense of sportsmanship, never sinking to the level of cheating. He is hugely and unquestionably generous. Given a large allowance, from his wealthy parents, he uses only a fraction of it on himself, choosing to help his friends or give it away to people who need it more. And even though he chose to turn his wand to the colour of gold it didn't mean he put any more value in it. Generally, some people have taken this as a sign of him being spoiled or buying friends with money, but the truth is; He doesn't care about money, and people choose to be his friends based on his loyalty, good nature and wild sense of humour. He is smart, and inventive and always thinks things through, often coming up with new innovative ideas on how to do things. He cares greatly about all living things.

Likes: His formost desire is simply to make friends and he holds them all highly in his heart. He enjoys flying on his broomstick and despite his age, he has been able fly exceptionally well since he was five. One of his top ambitions is to become a professional Quidditch player. Not only does he whole heartedly enjoy Quidditch, but he also likes to play other sports as well, both wizard and muggle in origin, but his favorite are the winter sports or anything that involves fast paced movement over ice. He loves to experiment with learning new spells and has managed to formulate a couple of his own, even though he is has not had a wand until recently (he frequently steals his fathers wand). One of his unusual hobbies is the muggle art of carpentry. Not only has he crafted his own broomstick, that he later asked his father to charm to allow it to fly, but he also makes models and even furnishings (mostly to replace the ones that he destroys). He also loves a good practical joke and regularly carries around Zonko's merchandise. Another of his hobbies is ice skating or skiing and he has been tirlessly trying to learn a spell that creates a pathway of ice or snow on any surface, but has yet to find one that he can perform. Finally, he is a very accomplished gymnast. Aside from having his own unique technique of acrobatic flight on a broomstick, he is also a very agile mover over the ground as well. Also being bought up in a muggle community he has also gotten a taste for muggle movies and often tries to use magic to duplicate and mimik special effects that he sees. In fact, many of his accomplishments have stemmed from his number one fun-make: breaking the rules.

Dislikes: Adrian doesn't like being told that he cannot do something. He can very rarely be told 'no'. Once he has set his mind on something, he will stop at almost nothing, for the opportune moment to arrive before doing it, regardless of warnings. Despite his lack of dissapline when it comes to following rules, he is not a bad person and abserloutly hates bullies. He will defiantly stand up to, or defend anyone that he sees being bullied, regardless of the aggressors gender, size, age or official status. In other words: If he saw a professor doing something to a student that, in his view, he deamed to be over the top disiplining, then he would make himself heard, stand up to them and defend the oppressed student.

Family: His mother is a muggle and his father is a wizard, making him a part of an inter-married Half-Blood family.

Mother - Sarah Tresk (Thirty-one years old);
Father - Mathazar Tresk (Thirty-three years old)

History: Adrian Tresk was trouble from the very day he came into existance. Other than his parents, the first to suffer from his antics, were the Spanish Ministry of Magic. His mother went into labor with him three weeks earlier than expected whilst the couple were on their last planned holiday before they were to start the daunting life of parent-hood. Due to her deteriating condition, they were unable to travel home either by magic or other means, so they were forced to call for muggle medical assistance at the resort. Once they had arrived in the hospital and were in their private maternity room with a single doctor and midwife, the delivery went off without a hitch. Adrian Tresk didn't cry at all and appeared to be very contented at the time. As he was held out for his proud parents to fawn over, he sneezed in the midwife's arms and suddenly, his entire body erupted into a blurry rainbow of bright colours.

Diving over his wife's hospital bed and catching Adrian from the now fainting mid-wife, his father had turned back to the gawping doctor and tried desperately to come up with some kind of plausible 'muggle' explanation, saying "It must be a rash". Unfortunately, they had been in such a rush, that he had neglected to bring his wand along with him, and so was unable to perform any kind of memory modification. And as if the 'rash' statement was a cue to continue the show, the bright colours of Adrian's so called rash, decided to start rippling randomly over his skin. Of course, things became very hectic when a whole horde of doctors was invited in to witness and try to diagnose the strange phenomenon. It was only after a large scale joint operation with the Spanish Ministry of Magic to track down and wipe the growing number of peoples' memories that were in the loop on this strange occurance, or 'breach of magical exposure on muggles', that the Tresks' were finally able to set off back home.

In addition to a visit to the Metamorph registration office, his father also had to explain the breach of the statuete of secrecy to his superiors at work, suffering quite a bit of humiliation in the process. Adrian's abilities as a Metamorphmagus, have since caused his family and the Ministry countless problems due to them being the only magical residents in an all-muggle area. Not a single occasion passed, when the couple were out in public with Adrian, that something strange was noticed by a passer by, either by coincidence or by his the boys will. Indeed, as Adrian was reaching his fourth birthday, he was becoming more boisterous. The Ministry became so tired of modifying memories and fixing the strange magical occurances that happened on a regular basis around him, that they soon decided that an official announcement was the best course of action.

In the end, telling the small muggle community the truth about the Tresks' and their son turned out for the best. The people who lived nearby were more prepared to turn a blind eye to magic, however extraudinary, and were more understanding and accepting toward Adrian himself and his parents. They also agreed unnanimusly, that they would not divulge the magical world's secret any futher than their little community. Of course this didn't stop the instances from happening, but they weren't considered to be as bigger deal as they had been before, and so with Adrian's desperate thirst to socilize, he was finally free and able to make friends with the local children. He became very popular with the local kids and their families, not just because of his magical abilities, but because of his loyal friendship, good nature and sense of humour.

Mr Tresk is the wizard of the family, and anyone making a jealous accusation that he had not earned every single knut that he possessed would be wrong. He works hard at the Minsistry of Magic for department of law enforcement, often needing to be ushered out by his head of the department. And despite the fact that his own son is a frequent culprit that leads him to be regularly humiliated, he is seen as an otherwise respected and pleasant man, pittied by some for his bad luck. He has a meticulous devotion for trying to make the country safer place for his family and friends to live in. Mrs Tresk, on the other hand, is no less of a hard worker, but is a muggle and has her own dental practice in a nearby area. Both have suffered from Adrian's behaviour, but they both come to appresiate his unique attitude and still break out into smiles at times when he has done something amusing. They treat him well and love him deeply and they do their best to cope with their demanding careers and their out of control son.

He has frequently told his father that he didn't want to be treated to a huge allowance, just because their family was wealthy and has stated instead, that he would be perfectly happy with a large block of wood, some carpentry tools and a wand. Being very busy at the Ministry and rarely getting to spend any quality time with his son, Mr Tresk's wish to encourage this positive creativity, saw him providing the materials for him, and as often as he could, spending time with him to perform his requested spells on his creations. Though the creation of Adrian's first versatile and unique flying broomstick, which he named 'Hyperwind' caused a great number of problems for his father and the Ministry, Mr Tresk has never regretted the look of excitement on his son's face when he finally saw the creation, floating a foot and half off the ground unsupported.

At the age of eight, during a winter family holiday to Alaska, he was unwillingly dragged away from one of his favorite hobbies of skiing and taken along for the ride on a boring nature walk with his parents. Despite their close and watchful attention, Adrian had always had a talent for slipping away unnoticed and he eventually ended up getting away from the group and wandering off the path, intent on exploring at his own leisure using his skiis. He had been skiiing a little way into the mountainous forest roughly an hour later, when he came across a bloodied white wolf sprawled just a few feet short of what was unmistakeably it's den. From the harsh wounds over the carcase it was obvious, even to Adrian, that it had been seriously injured by another larger predator, escaped but died from its injuries before it could get back to it's sanctuary.

Being a feverant animal lover, Adrian was greatly upset by this, and approached it, only to find a younger female cub cuddled upto it's dead mother, shivering slightly in the cold. By the time his parents had tracked him down again, two hours later, Adrian was still trying to coax the young cub out from it's dead mothers protection and she was only just starting to take notice of the boys attempts. Knowing what would happen to it if they left it alone, they resigned to the fact that Adrian would never let them forget it if they did and so they agreed to take it in. After she had cautiously come out to inspect Adrian and found him to be friendly, the cub allowed herself to be taken and Adrin, glad to have saved her, named the small white cub, 'Blizzara' and frequently calls her by a nickname, 'Frosty'.

After reading up a little on Hogwarts and noticing the stand-out rule against first years bringing their own broomsticks, Adrian quickly set to work, crafting a new ordinary broomstick which, on the day of his departure to Hogwarts, he then deliberately carried down the stairs along with his trunk. He was careful to give a good performance of wanting to take it along with him and once he had finally and grudgingly accepted their flat refusal, he moodily left it behind in the cupboard knowing that, with the fake broom as physical proof, they wouldn't check his trunk to find his real broomstick secretly stashed in the magically enlarged compartment. So now this trojan horse of mischievnous approaches Hogwarts, with his own golden wand, a small trunk of lumber, tools and a collection of contraband that is almost as big and ellaborate as Zonko's toy shop window display.

Special Ability: He is a Metamorphagus.

Example Role Play:

It was an unusually beautiful summer day. There were only a few small, fluffy whisps of cloud in the skies surrounding London. In a secluded area, a vast estate on the outskirts of the city stretched out and two eight year olds, wearing baggy trunks were out splashing around in the large manors pool. Sydney Clark was around for the day and starved for something fun to do, they had been playing a game of hide and go seek for most of the morning and moved into the pool to cool off. Adrian had been in quite a bit of trouble with his father recently, and so he had not left the grounds of his home for nearly two days. Instead, suggesting that they both spend their time in the garden where at the very least, any magical antics would stay confined. It hadn't been as fun as a normal day in the life of the two friends, staying confined to the house and grounds, but even so, Sydney could always be counted on for coming up with new ideas for making things more interesting.

After they had cooled down, they pulled themselves out, crossed the patio, still dripping wet, and returned to the garden. After a couple more goes each at hiding, Adrian now sat wedged uncomfortably inside the wine barrel that his families gardner normally used to keep the bags of compost in. It was half empty, so there was room enough for him to sit hunched up inside with the wooden lid over the top slightly pushed up as it was resting on the top of his head. He pressed his face up to the inside, squinting through the thin crack into the limited view of the garden side path just next to the shed. After a short time, he heard Sydney approaching over the gravel path, and finally caught a momentary glimpse of his friend walking by, his eyes scowering the area. "dang it." Adrian whispered to himself as he saw a suspecting expression cross Sydney's face as he paused, then doubled-back toward the barrel. "Gotcha." he declared, as the lid was wrenched off the top and Sydney peared over the rim of the barrel laughing as he saw the absurdly squashed up boy inside.

"I think we're running out of places to hide," Adrian said as he dragged himself out of the barrel, "I guess we could use the house as well?" he suggested brushing the cob-webs off himself.
"After what happened last time?" Sydney said raising an eyebrow and suddenly looking anxious.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Adrian replied looking sheepish, "well, have another go if you can think of anywhere else." he said shrugging doubtfully and covering his eyes.
"Well ..." Sydney said slowly, not moving, "maybe if you go again, but this time ..." he continued.
"That wouldn't be fair on you." Adrian spoke up at once, taking his hands away from his eyes, knowing exactly what he was about to suggest.
"Ah, I don't mind, beside I like a challenge." Sydney insisted grinning at him.

Pausing for a thoughtful moment, Adrian's face spread into a grin as well, and he nodded determindly. As a Metamorphagus, Adrian had always had the potential to have the advantage, but his sense of good sportsmanship normally drove him to play fair. This time however, Sydney had challenged that he could still find him even if he used his Meta-morph ability to try to hide himself. He was still young, but the gift that he possessed had been with him from birth and so he had naturally experimented out of curiosity to find the limits of his ability. His experience, whilst trying to blend in with backgrounds was relatively new, but he had managed to pull off a few different forms of camouflaging himself. As Sydney started counting down, Adrian tip-toed away, scanning the vast grounds for a fool-proof place to hide that would work well with his gift.

A moment went by when he saw a possibility and as he got out of ear shot of Sydney, he took off at a run towards it. On the lawn, out in the open, there was a very small leaf pile. The gardener had evidently started raking them up, but looking over to the far off beech tree, Adrian saw that he had become distracted by a birds nest and was now heading toward the shed for a ladder. It was perfect, there was nowhere near enough leaves to cover himself completely but since the lawn was freshly mown, and there were clumps of cut grass scattered everywhere, he wouldn't need to ... He just needed to cover his trunks. As he got to the leaf pile, he lay down flat on his stomach, the warm feeling of the grass on his bare skin was pleasantly soft. Sweeping the leaf pile over his backside, until he was sure that it was convincingly covered, he lay flat and extended his arms to the side, branching out his fingers and allowing them to brush over the grass blades.

Closing his eyes, feeling the less than familiar tingling as his mind formed the image he wanted to make of himself. The fact that he was attempting a rather advanced stunt that required allot of concentration, was the reason for the strange feeling. He always found that feeling the substance of what he wanted to become, made it easier and sure enough, his transformation began and he willed his skin to morph into tufts of grass. Starting with his own hair, it grew short, as if just mown and moved over his entire head until he would only just be able to see through the green blades for his eyes. The grass continued to sprout up until it had covered every inch of him from head to toe. He gave a little shiver and bit down on his lip, stifling a giggle as he felt the blades of grass, tiggling his feet and the rim of his ears as it settled.

Though he looked a little bit disproportioned lying on the ground, his exact matching colour to the real grass beneath him and the freshly mown blades that had also been raked up with the leaves, which he had convienient;y surrounded himself with, would certainly make him entirely invisible to anyone who didn't know any better, if he could only stay still. Opening his eyes, he decided on a final touch, allowing a green gas to to flood over the surface of his eyes, even though they were barily visible through the growth. Taking a relaxing breath he froze as he heard Sydney bellowing, "READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!" So there he lay ... Twenty minutes past and on four seperate occasions, he saw Sydney slinking around within ten feet of his position walking from one possible hiding place to another.

At last, he saw Sydney heading his way, though it was possible that he was heading for the flower patch near the pool.He stopped himself from grinning when he saw him turn and look directly at him ... At least, he thought it was directly at him. He saw him squinting an uncertain look on his face now. He crouched down a little still walking closer before stopping less than a meter away. Adrian felt as though he was about to explode from holding his breath, as Sydney continued to try and see something out of the ordinary. The boy reached forward and bent down prodding a finger into one of the mushy clumps of mown grass, which promptly collapsed to his touch. Adrian was literally counting Sydney's eyelashes as the boy sighed in disappointment and looked back up to his next search area.

"Alright?" Adrian announced loudly at Sydney's retreating form and the boy whirled around, jumped up and shrieked momentarily in surprise, "If you didn't see me just then, then you'd have been looking for me all bloomin' day." he said sitting up. It must have looked very odd indeed, to see a talking mound of grass, sit up and then magically morph back into the form of a human. As the tingling subsided in Adrian's body, Sydney took a couple of gasping breaths, now on his knees. "You scared the life out of me!", Sydney said sounding choked. He was laughing and was starting to get teary eyed. "So what shall I do next? Lie in the road and turn myself tar-grey and see if dad notices me when he gets home?" Adrian suggested sarcastically as Sydney Laughed back at him.
